My conversation with Lia tonight at dinner . . .
Lia in her sweet raspy voice, "Mom, I don't like wine."
With a smile I reply, "No, wine is for adults to have sometimes."
Lia with wide eyes and a convincing tone, "Well, when I'm grown up I can have it if I want."
Again I reply with a smile, "Maybe you won't like it."
Lia replies, "Mom, when I'm grown up I'm going to be the boss!"
"Really?" I say
"Really!" she replies with a nod
